Prato Nevoso, on the north-west facing slopes of the Maritime Alps, enjoys a good snow record and plenty of sunshine. This pleasant purpose-built village is an ideal place to learn to ski or snowboard. It is a particularly excellent choice for beginners and is very popular with our school groups. There's minimal walking, easy runs both at village level and at altitude, and an expert, caring ski school. Progression is great which means beginners can be doing quite long blue runs before the end of the week. Intermediates and strong intermediates are also well served here with plenty of wide, long runs, some tremendous reds, especially over the Artesina side, and exhilarating cruises in high bowls.

Prato Nevoso is also a big snowboarding area with a dedicated snowboard park, floodlit 3 times a week. It is the home of the Italian Snowboard Club and top competitions are held here.

Prato Nevoso is notably friendly and locals are very welcoming, always keen to give good service and promote their resort. There's a long gallery of shops, bars and restaurants all conveniently located opposite the slopes.
